SUBMITTING A NOMINATION

The Canadian Snooker Hall of Fame may from time to time consider nominations brought forth from outside the Canadian Snooker Hall of Fame Executive Committee.

Canadian Snooker Hall of Fame Executive Committee is the sole arbiter of admission eligibility and the Committee remains under no obligation to accept or put to a vote any outside nomination(s); however, if it is decided that an outside nomination will be considered for voting and admission, the Executive Committee retains the absolute right to decide the time and year, and if applicable, category or manner of eligibility. Additionally, the Executive Committee will not offer responses to nominations if it is determined the candidate fails to meet the standards or fails to attain sufficient votes for admission.

In advance of submitting a nomination, please ensure that your nominee is eligible by reading the categories for nomination and eligibility requirements. A newly expanded Executive Committee was formed on March 10, 2024 and in order to protect the legacy of the esteemed members of the Canadian Snooker Hall of Fame, it is now necessary for each candidate to meet all of the eligibility requirements.

Please note that an individual cannot self-nominate and the Directives of the Canadian Snooker Hall of Fame prohibit “automatic elections” based solely on performance, such as Canadian Championship wins, or similar achievements. Additionally, achievements in cue sports other than snooker cannot contribute to a nominee’s eligibility.

Anyone wishing to submit a nomination must do so in writing to the Secretary/Treasurer. You must submit a document by post mail which includes the following information:

  • Your name as nominator - including contact information and a brief statement of your interest and involvement in Canadian snooker.
  • Two additional names supporting the nomination – including contact information.
  • A written composition detailing your nominee. This must be no fewer than 200 words and no longer than 500 words.

Mail submissions to:
